Hydro-Correls, oder auch Blähtonkugeln sind
ein gutes Nährmedium für Hydrokulturen.
Hydro-Correls haben
ausgezeichnete vegetationstechnische Eigenschaften. Sie geben der Pflanze festen
Halt, sind aber so leicht, dass die Wurzel sich ungehindert ausbreiten kann. Die
Kapillarkraft des Blähtons fördert ein gleichbleibendes Feuchtigkeitsniveau im
Wurzelbereich. Durch lockeres Schichten gelangt auch ausreichend Sauerstoff an
die Wurzelballen.
